The Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu is taking maximum measures to ensure the safety and assistance of Bangladeshi expatriates and tourists in Nepal.

The embassy said that arrangements were made to return the national football team to Dhaka on a special C-130 aircraft on Thursday (September 11, 2025). The embassy closely coordinated with the Office of the Chief Adviser, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Armed Forces Division and Bangladesh Football Federation to ensure the smooth completion of this flight operated by the Bangladesh Air Force.

The embassy expressed its sincere gratitude to the Nepalese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepal Civil Aviation Authority, Tribhuvan International Airport Authority and Nepal Army for providing the necessary permissions, clearances and security assistance in a timely manner.

In addition, an additional Biman flight was also operated on Thursday in coordination with the embassy to bring back Bangladeshi passengers stranded in Nepal. This measure was taken to clear the backlog of passengers from September 8-10. Embassy officials have worked tirelessly to rescue Bangladeshis stranded in various parts of Kathmandu Valley in the last two days and this effort will continue under the leadership of the Ambassador.

The Embassy also expressed gratitude for the cooperation of the Bangladeshi community in Nepal. It was reported that the Embassy has received more than 600 phone calls from stranded and expatriate Bangladeshis in the last three days.
