The parliamentary delegation led by Deputy Speaker Barrister Kaiser Kamal is leaving for Kunming, Yunnan, China on Tuesday (June 9, 2026) at 2 pm on a Chinese Eastern Airlines flight. Other members of the delegation are NCP Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain MP, BNP Member of Parliament Eng. Khaled Hossain Mahbub Shamol and Reserved Seat Jasmine Sultana MP.
The delegation was seen off at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by Chinese Ambassador to Dhaka Mr. Yao Wen and senior officials of the embassy.
At the invitation of the Governor of Yunnan Province, China, the Deputy Speaker will deliver a speech as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the 7th China-South Asian Cooperation Forum.
The delegation will be present as a guest at the 10th China-South Asia Exposition. As the theme country of this year’s exposition is Bangladesh, the highest number of Bangladeshi trade pavilions will participate. The Commerce Minister of Bangladesh will inaugurate the trade fair as the chief guest.
In addition, the delegation led by the Deputy Speaker will meet with the Governor of Yunnan Province and the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Yunnan Province in Kunming for 2 days to discuss issues related to bilateral interests.
On the last day of the visit, the Deputy Speaker will participate in two special interviews with the Chinese Global TV Network and Yunnan National TV. The parliamentary delegation will return to Dhaka on June 13.
