Diplomatic Desk:
The three-day ‘30th US Trade Show 2026’ is set to begin in Dhaka on November 5, aimed at further strengthening trade and investment ties between Bangladesh and the United States. The event is being organized jointly by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham) and the US Embassy in Dhaka at the InterContinental Dhaka. This year’s edition holds special significance as a milestone in a three-decade-long, consistent effort to promote trade and investment cooperation between the two nations.
According to the organizers, 43 entities—comprising 36 companies and seven startups—will participate in this year’s trade show. A total of 63 booths will showcase a wide array of US products, services, technologies, and innovations.
A key highlight of this year’s event is the introduction of seven industry-specific zones. Additionally, there will be a dedicated startup zone, a carnival zone, and a ‘heritage corner.’ These features will offer visitors insights into business opportunities across various sectors, as well as exposure to new technologies and innovative ventures.
Alongside the exhibition, six thematic seminars will be held, covering critical topics such as energy, healthcare, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), women’s leadership, investment in the US, and bilateral trade between Bangladesh and the US. These sessions will feature discussions among policymakers, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and subject-matter experts.
Furthermore, a business delegation representing various American Chambers of Commerce from different US states and regions will also participate. The organizers anticipate that this engagement will help explore investment potential in Bangladesh, foster new business partnerships, and expand the scope for bilateral cooperation.
The three-day event is expected to attract between 10,000 and 15,000 visitors. This trade show will serve as an important platform for enhancing business communication, facilitating technology exchange, exploring new markets, and attracting investment.
The exhibition will be open to the public at InterContinental Dhaka from November 5 to 7, between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM each day. Interested visitors can obtain a pass by registering online, which will grant them access to the exhibition for all three days.
