Diplomatic Desk:
US Ambassador to Bangladesh, Brent T. Christensen, held productive discussions with Bangladesh’s Minister of Food, Afroza Khanam. The meeting focused on the utilization of high-quality US wheat and other grains in Bangladesh, as well as strengthening commercial relations between the two nations.

Following the discussions, Ambassador Brent T. Christensen noted that over 200,000 metric tons of high-quality wheat and other grains have already been imported into Bangladesh from the United States. These supplies are being used both for human consumption and as livestock feed.
The Ambassador stated that these commodities are helping to meet the nutritional needs of the Bangladeshi population, while also contributing to cost savings through their use as animal feed. Consequently, the commercial partnership between the two countries is being further strengthened.
