UNESCO holds workshop in Dhaka to increase youth participation in education

To ensure active participation of youth in education, UNESCO held a workshop titled ‘Empowering Youth for Education Reform’ at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka on Wednesday (December 10, 2025). Through this workshop, information obtained from UNESCO’s global report The Price of Inaction 2024 was presented to the youth, their role in increasing investment in education was strengthened, and the youth were given an opportunity to gather innovative ideas to implement the recommendations of the report.

Representatives of youth-led organizations exchanged views with the chief guest and special guests present at the workshop. In their speeches, the guests called for strengthening the voice of youth to increase investment in the education sector in Bangladesh.
