UCB Becomes the New Partner of the National Football Team

A Commitment to Reviving Football’s Success and Popularity. To foster the growth of Bangladesh’s national football team and strengthen its position in international competitions, United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) and the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) have formed a strategic partnership. At an official signing ceremony held today at UCB’s headquarters, UCB officially becomes the title sponsor of the Bangladesh National Men’s Football Team for the next five years.

The agreement was signed on behalf of their respective organizations by BFF President Tabith Awal and UCB’s Managing Director & CEO Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid.

UCB Chairman Sharif Zahir also graced the event along with senior officials of BFF.

BFF President Tabith Awal stated, “Corporate support is crucial for the growth of football. Sponsorship from organizations like UCB will not only contribute to the national team’s development but also strengthen Bangladesh’s position on the global football stage.”

UCB Chairman Sharif Zahir added, “We are proud to be associated with the rich legacy of Bangladesh football. UCB is committed to supporting the national team’s success and will actively work to make football more popular among the younger generation.”

This agreement is more than just a sponsorship—it is a milestone toward a brighter future for football in Bangladesh. BFF and UCB officials expressed their hope that this collaboration will elevate Bangladesh’s football to new heights on the international stage.
