Tourist Police holds meeting with Bangladesh Tourism Board to ensure security, service quality and international standards in the country’s tourism sector

An important meeting was held between Tourist Police and Bangladesh Tourism Board at the mini conference room of Tourist Police Headquarters, Dhaka. The meeting was presided over by Tourist Police Chief Mr. Md. Mainul Hasan, BPM, PPM, ndc, Additional IGP (acting).

On behalf of Bangladesh Tourism Board, the Chief Executive Officer (Additional Secretary) of the organization, Ms. Nuzhat Yasmin, led the meeting. Representatives of the Tourism Board also participated in the meeting with her.

The meeting was attended by DIG of Tourist Police Headquarters Mr. Md. Ruhul Amin, BPM; Additional DIG of Dhaka-Sylhet-Mymensingh Division Mr. Mohammad Sakhawat Hossain; Additional DIG of Chittagong Division Mr. Bidhan Tripura, PPM (Bar); and Additional DIG of Khulna-Barisal Division Dr. Md. Emdadul Haque, PPM. Other senior officials of the Tourist Police were also present in the meeting.

The meeting emphasized the need to increase mutual coordination between the Tourist Police and the Bangladesh Tourism Board to further advance the tourism industry of Bangladesh. Discussions were held on taking coordinated initiatives by both organizations to ensure security, service quality improvement and international standards in the country’s tourism sector.

The speakers at the meeting highlighted the need for field-level cooperation, strengthening emergency services and strengthening the role of the Tourist Police in assisting tourists to create a tourism-friendly environment.
