The advisor said this while briefing journalists after a view-sharing meeting with officials concerned on the law and order situation in the district and issues related to agricultural production, fertilizer, seeds and irrigation management at the Gazipur District Commissioner’s office on Wednesday (November 5, 2025).

The advisor said that the elections will be held next February. Necessary instructions have been given to the relevant authorities, especially law enforcement agencies, to make the elections free and acceptable.
A neutral environment will be ensured through the joint efforts of the administration, law enforcement agencies, political parties and the Election Commission. The advisor commented that the people are moving towards the elections, so all kinds of propaganda will fail.
The home affairs advisor called for vigilance against false information and propaganda regarding the 13th parliamentary elections on social media.
The Agriculture and Home Affairs Advisor said, Boro paddy was produced 1.5 million metric tons more than the target. We are expecting a bumper harvest of Aman this season. The government is also trying to keep the prices of vegetables within reach. There is no shortage of fertilizer, and the prices will not be increased under any circumstances. The new policy for appointing fertilizer dealers is almost final.
All work is being done with utmost importance to the interests of farmers. The advisor said that the work of formulating a long-term plan for agriculture till 2050 is also in the final stage.
The meeting was attended by Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Dr. Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mian, DIG of Dhaka Range Rezaul Karim Malik, Acting Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police Mohammad Zahidul Hasan, Gazipur Deputy Commissioner Nafisa Arefin, Superintendent of Police Dr. Chowdhury Mohammad Jaber Sadek and senior administrative officials of the district.
In the other program of the day, the advisor participated as the chief guest in the inauguration of the Central Research Review and Program Formulation Workshop-2025 of the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute and a meeting to exchange views with scientists.
