BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has said that the outpouring of well-wishes and support from around the world for the recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia has deeply inspired the Zia family and the BNP. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to all national and international leaders, diplomats, well-wishers and the people of Bangladesh.
In a post from his verified Facebook page on Tuesday (2 December 2025), Tarique Rahman wrote that the concern expressed by global leaders and diplomats over Khaleda Zia’s health, along with the prayers and affection of friends and the people of Bangladesh, has profoundly touched their family.
Tarique Rahman stated that the collective support of the nation is the true source of strength for their family. He added that everyone is continuously praying for the swift recovery of the beloved national leader. He extended sincere appreciation for the compassion, solidarity and humanitarian support shown during this difficult time.
He further wrote, “The love, prayers and support we have received in this challenging period have moved us deeply.”
