The country’s largest tourism fair ‘Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF), 2025’ to begin on October 30

The country’s largest tourism fair ‘Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2025’ is starting from October 30 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Agargaon in the capital. The three-day international fair is being organized by the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB).

TOAB said in a press conference at a hotel in the capital today (September 1) that more than 250 exhibitors from more than 20 countries of the world will participate in the 13th edition of the fair. There will be 220 stalls in four pavilions. It is expected to attract 2,000 business representatives and more than 50,000 visitors.

TOAB President Md. Rafeuzzaman said in the press conference that a special medical tourism zone is being set up for the first time in this year’s fair. The national tourism organizations of Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka have already confirmed their participation. Tour operators and travel agents from various countries including Malaysia, Maldives, China, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Turkey are expected to participate in the fair. Apart from this, airlines, hotels, resorts, cruise lines and domestic travel agencies will also be present.

Business-to-Business (B2B) sessions, seminars, roundtable discussions, cultural programs and documentary screenings on Bangladesh’s tourist destinations will be organized along with the exhibition. Raffle draws with attractive prizes will also be organized for visitors.

TOAB Director (Trade and Fairs) Md. Taslim Amin Shovon said that this year’s fair will be bigger, more attractive and grander than ever before. The registration process for exhibitors has been simplified through an improved website. In addition, a mobile app is being launched for the first time, where visitors can find venue maps and stall information.

As part of the sustainable development agenda, the organizers have declared the fair as a plastic-free event. In addition, tree planting and eco-friendly tourism promotion initiatives have been taken in eight divisions of the country. The fair will also feature travel photography, videography and storytelling competitions. The winners’ works will be exhibited.

At the press conference, Bangladesh Tourism Corporation Chairman Saema Shaheen Sultana said that such events play an important role in the development of the tourism sector and the government will provide all kinds of support in this regard.

Aviation and Tourism Journalists Forum of Bangladesh (ATJFB) President Md. Tanjim Anwar also spoke at the event. TOAB Director (Media and Public Relations) Md. Yunus moderated the press conference.
