Thai Ambassador expresses interest in strengthening cooperation in primary education

Thai Ambassador to Bangladesh Ms. Thitiporn Chirasawadi paid a courtesy call on Professor Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar, Advisor to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.

During the meeting, the two sides had fruitful discussions on the overall development of primary education. In particular, views were exchanged on strengthening experience-sharing between the two countries, including exchange of teacher training, and sharing the success of the School Meal Program for primary school students across the country.

In addition, the possibility of increasing future cooperation under the Child and Youth Development Program was also discussed. Bangladesh and Thailand expressed interest in working together on this prestigious program, the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Awards, which is run under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand.
