Tarique Rahman visits parents’ graves after taking oath as Prime Minister

Immediately after taking oath as the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Tarique Rahman visited the graves of his father Ziaur Rahman and mother Begum Khaleda Zia.

On Tuesday (17 February 2026) afternoon, he visited the family graveyard located in Zia Udyan, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital. There, he paid floral tributes to the graves of martyred President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and participated in special prayers and supplications.
