The Swiss Embassy in Dhaka hosted its traditional annual reception in honor of the Swiss business community and members of the Switzerland–Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SBCCI). Ambassador of Switzerland, Reto Renggli, welcomed the guests and highlighted the role of the Swiss private sector in Bangladesh.
The event featured fruitful discussions on Swiss investments and business expansion opportunities. The Ambassador noted that several Swiss companies have achieved significant successful investments in Bangladesh this year. Participants also engaged in candid exchanges regarding some of the current challenges and obstacles in the business environment.
The reception provided an important networking platform for the Swiss private sector and their Bangladeshi partners. The strong presence of Swiss businesses in Bangladesh, their contributions, and their significant role in the country’s economy were especially highlighted.
Ambassador Reto Renggli stated that the Swiss private sector is continuously expanding its operations in Bangladesh, further strengthening the economic partnership between the two countries.
