Desk Report:
The International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital has transformed into a bustling hub for car buyers and sellers. Every Friday, it hosts the ‘Super Sale Car Bazaar.’ Following seven consecutive weeks of success, the event took place again this past Friday, marking its eighth week. The market featured a diverse collection of new, reconditioned, and used vehicles, alongside trucks and motorcycles. Attractive price discounts and gift offers further fueled interest among buyers.
Organized jointly by Wizard Showbiz and ICCB, the car bazaar is held every Friday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Upon entering the venue this past Friday (October 31, 2026), visitors were greeted by rows of vehicles. New and reconditioned cars were displayed on one side, while privately used vehicles were showcased on the other. Many owners brought their existing vehicles to the market, hoping to sell them and upgrade to new ones. Consequently, buyers have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of vehicles in one location and make purchases that align with their preferences and budgets.
To attract buyers, sellers offered not only competitive pricing but also various gifts. Some vendors even included free iPhones or e-bikes with the purchase of a car—an incentive that generated significant curiosity among potential buyers.
According to the organizers, this edition featured new vehicles from international brands such as Mitsubishi, Changan Deepal, and Hyundai. The selection also included trucks and motorcycles from two Chinese brands. As a special promotion, a free scooter is being offered with the purchase of any truck. Vehicles available at the event range in price from 8 lakh BDT to as much as 1.86 crore BDT.
To enhance buyer confidence and peace of mind, a multi-brand workshop facility has been set up on-site. This allows prospective buyers to have vehicles inspected—checking critical components like the engine, chassis, and wheelbase—before finalizing their purchase. Additionally, there are special display ramps for showcasing vehicles, which allow sellers to present their cars in a more attractive manner.
Mehedi Hasan, Brand and Marketing Manager at ICCB, stated, “Even in the eighth week of the fair, we continue to receive a strong response from both buyers and sellers. A wide variety of vehicles—including cars, trucks, and motorcycles—are available under one roof. Furthermore, there is an option to have a vehicle’s overall condition inspected at a multi-brand workshop before making a purchase.”
