In response to a question about the supply situation of soybean oil, the Trade Advisor said, there is no shortage of daily necessities. The supply of soybean oil is slightly less. There is nothing to deny that. I hope the supply situation will improve from today.
In response to a question about the increase in the price of soybean oil, Sheikh Bashiruddin said, just as soybean oil is being sold at a higher price, palm oil is being sold at a price 25 taka lower than the price fixed by the government. Sixty percent of our total edible oil is palm oil. The price of oil in the market has decreased and increased at the same time. I hope the price of soybean oil will also decrease.
In response to another question from the media personnel, Industry Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan said that BSTI is operating mobile courts during the holy month of Ramadan to control the quality of products and prevent food adulteration. Today, mobile courts have been operated in four markets. This activity will continue.
