‘Shubechcha’ app and ‘Drut Ticket’ launched for expatriate engagement and transparent travel

Staff Correspondent:

The interim government has launched the mobile app ‘Shubechcha’ and the central online ticketing platform ‘Drut Ticket’ to increase the engagement of expatriates in exploring opportunities, receiving citizen services and creating sustainable social and economic impact in Bangladesh and to ensure transparency in travel.

On Tuesday (February 10, 2026) evening, Faiz Ahmed Tayyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor on Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology, Shish Haider Chowdhury, Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Department, and senior officials concerned presented the detailed activities of the two platforms to the Chief Advisor, Professor Muhammad Yunus.

It is learned that through the ‘Shubechcha’ app, expatriate Bangladeshis will be able to receive more than 100 citizen services easily and quickly at the State Guest House Jamuna. This will make it easier for expatriates to access government services and strengthen their mutual communication and network at home and abroad. The government hopes that this initiative will more effectively involve the investment, skills and experience of expatriates in the country’s development activities.

On the other hand, the online ticketing system for bus, rail and air travel has been integrated through the ‘Drut Ticket’ platform. The concerned parties said that this central platform will play an important role in preventing excessive fares, ticket black marketing and irregularities, especially during festivals. This will ensure transparency and accountability in passenger services.

Thanking the concerned parties for the successful launch of the two platforms, Principal Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus said, “Our goal was to ensure that all government services reach the citizens without any inconvenience. The journey of these two platforms began today. This is just the beginning. The two platforms need to be taken to a larger scale and reach more people.”

He expressed hope that the next elected government will take these initiatives further and make digital services people-friendly and inclusive.
