Sammilito Parishad announces final panel for BGMEA Elections

Ahead of the upcoming elections of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), the apex organization of ready-made garment industry owners, the ‘Sammilito Parishad’ has announced its final panel. In this election, the Sammilito Parishad is moving forward with the slogan ‘Achievement, Crisis, Potential—Together Possible’.

Md. Abul Kalam (Chaiti Composite Limited) will serve as the panel leader for the Dhaka region. S. M. Abu Tayyab (Independent Apparels Limited) is leading the Chittagong region. Under their leadership, the candidate list for the two regions includes a combination of experienced and new entrepreneurs in the garment sector.

Participating in the election contest from Dhaka region are—Faruk Hasan (Giant Textiles Limited), Khandaker Rafiqul Islam (Designex Knitwear Limited), Abdullah Hill Rakib (4A Yarn Dyeing Limited), Asif Ashraf (Urmi Garments Limited), Md. Mashiul Azam (Pashmi Sweaters Limited), Mostazirul Shovon Islam (Sparrow Apparels Limited), Md. Ashikur Rahman (Tuhin) (Meix Garments Limited), Firoz Alam (Tusuka Apparels Limited), Md. Nurul Islam (B2B Excellence Limited), Sayeed Sadek Ahmed (Space Sweaters Limited), Md. Sohel Sadat (Shin Shin Apparels Limited), Md. Shahadat Hossain (Fortis Garments Limited), Md. Mohiuddin Rubel (Denim Expert Limited), Md. Rezaul Alam Miru (Galpex Limited), Abrar Hossain Sayem (Sayem Fashions) Ltd.), Mohammad Kamal Uddin (Tork Fashions Ltd.), Saifuddin Siddiqui Sagar (TMS Fashions Ltd.), Tamanna Farrukh Thema (BC Collection Ltd.), Mirza Fayyaz Hossain (Apparels Village Ltd.), Helal Uddin Ahmed (Denim Attire Ltd.), Lithe Muntaha Mohiuddin (Lithe Apparels Ltd.), AKM Azimul Hai (Jovian Sweater Ltd.), Manjurul Faisal Haque (Tech Max Ltd.), S. M. Moniruzzaman (Mimo Cotton Zone Textile Ltd.), and Mohammad Rashedur Rahman (Puliman Knitwear Pvt. Ltd.).

On the other hand, the candidates who have been nominated from the Chittagong region are—Rakibul Alam Chowdhury (HKC Apparels Limited), Mohammad Musa (Madina Garments Limited), Anjan Shekhar Das (R.S.B Industrial Limited), Nafid Nabi (BSA Apparels Limited), Syed Mohammad Tanvir (Pacific Jeans Limited), Mustafa Sarwar Riyad (RDM Apparels Limited), Dr. Absar Hossain (Top Star Fashions Limited), and Gazi Md. Shahid Ullah (Sonet Textile Industries Limited).

The Sammilit Parishad has called on voters to cast their votes in panel numbers 36-70. The candidates said that they will work together for the sustainable development of the industry, discipline in the business environment and protection of the interests of all members.
