On Monday (December 15, 2025), a solemn ceremony was held at the Russian House in Dhaka, dedicated to Bangladesh Victory Day, which is celebrated annually on December 16. The event was organized jointly with the Liberation War Academy Foundation and the Rus-Bangla Welfare Association.
The event began with a warm welcome from the Director of the Russian House, Alexandra Khlevnoy, to the representatives of the partner organisations. Following opening speeches, which emphasised the importance of historical memory and the continuous development of friendship between Russia and Bangladesh, the musical group “Wrishiz Shilpi Gosthi” performed for the guests.
Their performance of traditional and contemporary compositions created an inspiring atmosphere, reminding everyone of the value of the freedom and peace won through the courage of the heroes of the 1971 Liberation War.
