Quick Response Teams Working Across the Country to Prevent Violence Against Women: Social Welfare Advisor

Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Advisor Sharmin S. Murshid said that Quick Response Teams are working across the country to prevent violence against women.

She said this while speaking as the chief guest at a program organized by Jago Nari Unnayan Sangstha at a hotel in Gulshan, the capital, on Tuesday (August 26, 2025).

The Social Welfare Advisor said that incidents of violence against women are taking place in various places across the country with the help of technology. The Quick Response Team run by the Ministry of Social Welfare is working to prevent these misdeeds.

She said that the definition of child marriage has changed nowadays. The main reason for this is the device called mobile. Due to the misuse of mobile technology, young girls are falling into the trap of love and becoming victims of female abuse.

Girls are ignorant, so guardians need to be more aware of this issue. So that minor girls do not fall into the trap of love and become victims of female violence.

The advisor said, Jago Nari Unnayan Sangstha, Nari Paksha, Human Rights Bangladesh, Cyber ​​Teens Foundation, Bangladesh Mahila Parishad, Bangladesh Internet Governance Forum, Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust Blast, BRAC and twenty-two organizations are working together to prevent violence against women today. He thanked everyone.

The advisor said, all the educated youth who are on the platforms of these 22 organizations should come forward to prevent violence against women through technology.

He said, only personal, social and family awareness can protect a girl from violence. For this, everyone should be more aware.
