In a congratulatory message after the presidential election was held on Thursday (August 20), Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that he sincerely congratulates Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on being elected as the 23rd President.
He expressed hope that in the coming days, as the guardian of the state, the newly elected President will use his utmost ability and wisdom to uphold justice, uphold democracy, and protect the country’s independence and sovereignty.
In his congratulatory message, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman wished the newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir good health and long life.
