There is no one in Bangladesh, including BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, said Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd.).
The Adviser made this statement while briefing reporters after the meeting of the Core Committee on Law and Order at the conference room of the Home Ministry at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Tuesday (December 02, 2025) afternoon.

The advisor said that the Home Ministry is ready to provide security to everyone. The ministry is also ready for those who need special security. He said that the meeting mainly discussed the overall preparation for the upcoming parliamentary elections. The issue of body-worn cameras and determining risky centers was also seriously highlighted.
In response to journalists’ questions about border security, Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd.) said that the BGB has been instructed to be vigilant so that no one can infiltrate through the border during the elections.
Regarding the report of the investigation committee on the BDR killings, the advisor said that it is a huge volume report. The Home Ministry is looking into the matter seriously. He said that the recommendations of the investigation committee will be fully implemented. In response to journalists’ questions regarding phone tapping, he also said that the organizations that are authorized will tap. Those that are not authorized will not tap.
Senior Secretary of the Home Ministry Nasimul Gani, IGP Baharul Alam BPM, BGB Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui ndc, psc and others were present at the briefing.
In addition to preparations for the national parliament elections, the meeting discussed drug violence control, border security, the situation in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, recovery of looted weapons, etc.
