New home adviser urges officials to work with professionalism

Newly appointed Home Affairs and Agriculture Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury called upon the officials to work professionally in accordance with the law.

The advisor made this call on Sunday (August 18) in an exchange meeting with the officials of the ministry in the conference room of the Bangladesh Secretariat in the capital.

The advisor said, there may be mistakes when going to work. But action will be taken if there is a deliberate mistake. He called everyone to work together sincerely at this time.

Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that the officers who are really deprived and affected will be considered. But if deprived due to corruption it will not be taken into consideration.

Md. Moshiur Rahman NDC, senior secretary of security and service department of Ministry of Home Affairs, newly appointed secretary of public security department. Mohammad Abdul Momen, recently retired Senior Secretary of Public Security Department Md. Mokabbir Hossain, IGP of Bangladesh Police Md. Moinul Islam NDC, heads of various departments and organizations under the Ministry of Home Affairs and officials at various levels of the Ministry were present.

Earlier, when the newly appointed Home and Agriculture Advisor reached the Ministry of Home Affairs, the senior officials of the Ministry welcomed the advisor. The advisor was then given a guard of honour.
