Nepalese Ambassador pays courtesy call on BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman

Nepalese Ambassador Ghanshyam Bhandari paid a courtesy call on BNP Chairman Mr. Tarique Rahman at the BNP Chairman’s office in Gulshan today, Saturday (17 January 2026).

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the current status of Nepal-Bangladesh bilateral relations and exchanged views on further strengthening cooperation in various sectors of mutual interest. The discussions focused on the possibilities and things to be done to increase trade and investment, energy, tourism, education and people-to-people contacts.

Ambassador Ghanshyam Bhandari emphasized the need to further deepen the historical friendly relations between Bangladesh and Nepal. At the time, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman mentioned the need to strengthen political dialogue and people-to-people contacts to enhance regional cooperation.
