Nepalese Ambassador Highlights Strong Nepal–Bangladesh Partnership at Bay of Bengal Conversation 2025

Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Mr. Ghanashyam Bhandari, addressed the “Ambassadorial Reflections” segment of the Bay of Bengal Conversation 2025 on Saturday afternoon (22 November 2025) in Dhaka.

In his remarks, Ambassador Bhandari highlighted the key dimensions of Nepal–Bangladesh relations, emphasizing the spirit of long-standing friendship, good neighbourliness, a steadily expanding economic partnership, and deep-rooted civilizational and people-to-people linkages.

He noted the significant milestones achieved in the areas of trade, investment, energy cooperation, tourism, connectivity, and people-to-people contacts, which have continued to strengthen bilateral engagement between the two countries.

Ambassador Bhandari also underscored the importance of working together in the coming years, especially as both Nepal and Bangladesh are set to graduate from the LDC category in 2026. He stressed that enhanced cooperation in regional and multilateral forums will be crucial for shared progress and stability.

The Bay of Bengal Conversation 2025 is being organized by the Centre for Governance Studies (CGS) from 22–24 November in Dhaka.
