Nepalese Ambassador Calls to Strengthen Nepal-Bangladesh Economic Cooperation

The Embassy of Nepal organized a program on ‘Nepal-Bangladesh Economic Cooperation’ in Rajshahi on Friday (December 19) evening.

The program was addressed by Nepali Ambassador Mr. Ghanshyam Bhandari, who highlighted the steady progress in various areas of economic cooperation between the two countries. He particularly mentioned recent achievements, such as power trade, investment and development in the tourism sector. He appreciated the important role of the business community and urged the participants to cooperate more closely with their Nepali partners.

First Secretary Ms. Yuzna Bamjan gave a detailed presentation, highlighting the key areas of economic cooperation between Nepal and Bangladesh. She highlighted the potential for enhancing trade, investment, connectivity, education and people-to-people ties. The presentation was followed by an interactive session to address the questions and concerns of the participants.

The program also included comments from representatives of Rajshahi-based government agencies and business associations. The event was attended by approximately 120 participants, including representatives from various chambers of commerce and industry, prominent businessmen, travel and tour entrepreneurs, and media representatives.
