Mrs. Ferdous Ara Begum, Independent Director of NRB Bank PLC, has been elected as the President of the Executive Council of the Bangladesh Senior Citizens Forum for the term 2026-27.
She is a former Additional Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh, former Director General of Bangladesh Television and a former member of the UN CEDO Committee. In addition, she is working as a prominent gender, women’s rights and women’s empowerment expert in Bangladesh.
