Mr. Saddat is a distinguished banking leader with over 23 years of diversified banking experience in various fields including Corporate Banking, SME Banking, Structured Finance, Offshore Banking, Financial Institutions Business, Trade Services, Supply Chain Finance, Cash Management, Agent Banking, Recovery and Restructuring, Lease Finance and Islamic Banking.
Prior to joining NRB Bank PLC, he served as the Managing Director and CEO (Current Responsibilities) of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, where he successfully led the establishment of corporate and operational governance, digitalization, maintaining one of the lowest non-performing loan (NPL) ratios of the bank and achieving strong business growth.
Previously, as Deputy Managing Director of Meghna Bank PLC, he played a key role in the bank’s overall business growth and digitalized banking transformation. In addition to managing core business operations, he has led the development of business development, Islamic banking, brand and marketing systems, which have significantly contributed to the growth and strength of the bank.
In his illustrious career, Mr. Sadat has held senior leadership positions in HSBC Bangladesh, Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC, Eastern Bank PLC, Meghna Bank PLC, Community Bank Bangladesh PLC and GSP Finance Company (Bangladesh) Limited. He brings a rare combination of experience gained from two of the highest rated private commercial banks in Bangladesh and a new generation of high-growth banks.
In addition to his academic career, Mr. Sadat is a part-time lecturer in the Department of Finance, University of Dhaka, where he is contributing to the development of the next generation of finance and banking professionals.
He has completed BBA and MBA from the Department of Finance, University of Dhaka. In addition, he is a Certified Financial Consultant (CFC) in Canada.
