Ministry of Housing and Public Works orders audit of RAJUK’s income and expenditure and plot/flat allocation activities for the years 2009-2024

The Ministry of Housing and Public Works has ordered the Directorate of Internal Audit to conduct an audit of all activities related to the income and expenditure accounts (including plot/flat transfer/allocation, etc.) of the Capital Development Authority for the period 2009 to 2024.

In accordance with the provisions of Section 2 (a) (b) (c) and (d) of the Allocation of Functions of the Internal Audit Directorate of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, the Charter of Duties of the Officers of the Internal Audit Directorate and the decision of the Budget Management Committee (BMC) of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works held on 23/04/2025, the Internal Audit Directorate has been directed to conduct an audit of all activities related to the income and expenditure accounts of the Capital Development Authority (including plot/flat transfer/allocation etc.) from 2009 to 2024 in the public interest (including plot/flat transfer/allocation etc.).

The scope of work/subjects to be followed for conducting the audit of the activities of the Capital Development Authority by the Internal Audit Directorate are: –

(a) 1. The Internal Audit Directorate will prepare an audit plan for conducting the audit activities. Accordingly, the audit activities will be carried out;

  1. The Capital Development Authority will conduct this audit activity in accordance with the law and the relevant rules and regulations;
  2. The detailed information (name, designation, mobile number, etc.) of the members of the audit team formed before the audit for the purpose of conducting the audit should be sent to the ministry;
  3. The Capital Development Authority should be kept duly informed about the audit activities;
  4. The audit activities should be completed within three months.
    (b) After the audit, the Internal Audit Directorate will submit a detailed report to the Secretary of the Ministry. It has the approval of the appropriate authority.
