Minister Takahashi wants to see new prospects for Japan-Korea cooperation in Bangladesh

Minister Takahashi of the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh participated in a symposium and reception organized by the Japan-Korea Industrial Technology Cooperation Foundation (JKF) and the Korea-Japan Industrial Technology Cooperation Foundation (KJF) on Thursday (November 6, 2025).

Speaking at the event, Minister Takahashi said that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and South Korea. In recent summits, the heads of state of the two countries have reaffirmed their commitment to building forward-looking and stable bilateral relations.

Referring to Bangladesh, he said that as the country enters a new chapter in its development and nation-building process, he expressed hope that new seeds of Japan-Korea cooperation will be sown in Bangladesh and that it will bring benefits in the future.

The event discussed strengthening Japan-Korea industrial and technological cooperation, as well as investment in Bangladesh, technology exchange, and potential cooperation in the industrial sector.
