He promised that the embassy will develop as a people-friendly mission during his tenure. He laid special emphasis on developing people-to-people connections. He urged the expatriate Bangladeshis to abide by the rules and regulations of the host country and advised them to adapt to the environment of Mexico.

The Ambassador further said that the Bangladesh government is following a zero tolerance policy to prevent human trafficking. He highlighted the importance of safe and regular immigration process and pledged to further strengthen this process on behalf of the Bangladesh Embassy. He announced that the Bangladesh Embassy will play an active role in creating job opportunities for skilled Bangladeshi manpower in the Mexican labor market, especially in IT, agriculture, engineering and other professional sectors.

The Ambassador said that a plan will be taken to increase Bangladesh’s exports to Mexico by setting a target of increasing exports of ready-made garments, pharmaceuticals, as well as increasing exports of relatively lagging leather products, IT services and agricultural products.

But now it is time to leave that chapter behind and present Bangladesh to the world as a disciplined, civilized and developed nation. The ambassador also said, “We are proud that Nobel laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus has taken charge of the interim government. He will definitely strive to establish people’s ownership by holding a free and acceptable election according to the people’s aspirations.”
