Md. Rashed Khan appointed as the Prime Minister’s Political Assistant with the rank of Secretary

BNP leader Rashed Khan has been appointed as the Prime Minister’s Political Assistant with the rank of Secretary

This information was given in a notification signed by Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Md. Golam Rabbani on Sunday (July 19, 2026) by the President’s order.

It said that Md. Rashed Khan has been given a contractual appointment as the Prime Minister’s Assistant (Political) with the rank of Secretary from the date of joining on the condition of renouncing any other profession, business or employment relationship with any government, semi-government, private institution or organization for the duration of the Prime Minister’s term or subject to his satisfaction (whichever occurs earlier).

Other terms of this appointment will be determined by the contract. This order has been issued in the public interest.

Md. Rashed Khan himself shared the notification in a post on Facebook today, Monday (July 20, 2026).
