Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd.) has said that law enforcement agencies are taking action as quickly as possible in cases of crime.
The advisor said this while briefing reporters after the meeting of the Core Committee on Law and Order at the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday (June 30, 2025) afternoon.

The advisor said that the role of law enforcement agencies in the recent incidents in Muradnagar and Patuakhali of Comilla is commendable. They have taken quick action in this regard and have been able to arrest the criminals. Referring to the results of today’s online survey of Daily Jugantor, the advisor said that yesterday’s question of this survey was – “Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has commented that the law and order situation in the country has improved. Do you agree with him?” 62 percent of online readers commented yes, 35 percent commented no, and 3 percent did not comment. This shows that the general public also agrees with the improvement in the overall law and order situation in the country.

Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) said that in addition to the overall law and order situation, the meeting also discussed the overall security of the national program from July 1 to August 5, 2025, in commemoration of the July Uprising. The advisor said that various political parties and social organizations will celebrate various programs and events on this occasion. Overall preparations have been made so that the general public can participate in these programs spontaneously, safely and without any hindrance.
