Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh proudly hosted the “Official Kickoff & Website Unveiling of JCI Bangladesh CYE 2025” on Tuesday (April 29, 2025) at its headquarters in Gulshan, Dhaka. The event marked the commencement of the organization’s 2025 initiatives and the official launch of the Creative Young Entrepreneur (CYE) Bangladesh 2025 website.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Kazi Fahad, National President of JCI Bangladesh, who served as the chief guest. He was joined by Tahsin Azim Shezan, Adviser to the National President, serving as the Event Adviser; Md Altamis Nabil, Executive Vice President and Event Director; and Tushar Malek, National Strategic Chairperson, who took on the role of Event Convener.

CYE stands for Creative Young Entrepreneur, which is an annual global award competition held by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) across more than 100 countries to recognize and honor young entrepreneurs who have started innovative businesses or projects that make a positive impact on their communities.

The Creative Young Entrepreneur (CYE) Award 2025, organized by JCI Bangladesh, is the national edition of Junior Chamber International’s globally recognized competition. It aims to identify, celebrate, and empower the country’s most innovative and impact-driven entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 40.

During his address, National President Kazi Fahad emphasized the organization’s 2025 vision, encapsulated in the motto “We Can Make It.” He highlighted JCI Bangladesh’s commitment to empowering young leaders and fostering innovation across the nation.

The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the CYE Bangladesh 2025 website, accessible at cye.jcibd.com. This platform aims to spotlight young entrepreneurs, providing them with opportunities to showcase their innovative ventures and connect with potential investors. The CYE program is designed to recognize and support creative business solutions that address contemporary challenges.

“The launch of the CYE Bangladesh 2025 website is a significant step towards nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among our youth,” said Event Adviser Tahsin Azim Shezan. “We are committed to providing a platform that not only recognizes talent but also offers the necessary support for growth and success.”

Executive Vice President and Event Director Md Altamis Nabil outlined the roadmap for the upcoming CYE activities, which will culminate in a national summit later this year. “Our goal is to create an ecosystem where young entrepreneurs can thrive, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to the economy,” he stated.

Event Convener Tushar Malek expressed gratitude to all attendees and emphasized the collaborative effort required to make the CYE program a success. “This event marks the beginning of an exciting journey. With collective effort, we aim to make a lasting impact on the entrepreneurial landscape of Bangladesh,” he remarked.

The bootcamp round, which shortlists 30 CYE participants, will take place on 17 May, 2025, and the grand finale for this competition to choose the top 3, along with the CYE summit, on end July this year. Shortlisted participants from the national round will also get opportunities to participate in JCI ASPAC in Mongolia and also JCI World Congress in Tunisia this year, along with the top 3 to win a total of 5 Lac BDT grant prizes and more than 1 Crore BDT Investment Fund for high-potential ventures upon interest from connected investors.
