Japanese Ambassador Attends Closing Ceremony of FDI Promotion Project in Bangladesh

On Tuesday (June 24, 2025) Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh SAIDA Shinichi attended the closing ceremony of the Two-Step Loan component of the Foreign Direct Investment Promotion Project (FDIPP), a joint initiative between JICA and the Government of Bangladesh. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, Honorable Governor of Bangladesh Bank.

While JICA’s disbursement under the project has been completed, the program continues through a revolving fund, utilizing repayments from participating financial institutions. In his remarks, Ambassador Saida expressed his hope that this initiative will continue to contribute to the sustainable development of Bangladesh and foster stronger economic ties between Japan and Bangladesh.
