Jamaat Ameer holds courtesy meeting with EU delegation

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman held a courtesy meeting with a high-level 9-member delegation of the European Union in Bangladesh at the EU Embassy today, Monday (December 08, 2025) at 11 am. The meeting was held in a cordial and cordial atmosphere.

The EU delegation was attended by EU Ambassador Mr. Michael Miller, Swedish Ambassador Mr. Nicolas Weeks, Norwegian Ambassador Mr. Haakon Arald Gulbrandsen, German Ambassador Dr. Rüdiger Lotz, Italian Ambassador Mr. Antonio Alessandro, Deputy Ambassador of France Mr. Frederic Inza, Deputy Ambassador of the Netherlands Mr. Thais Oodstra, EU Deputy Ambassador Gong. Beiba Gerina and First Secretary of the EU Embassy Mr. Sebastian Rieger-Brown.

The meeting discussed various issues of mutual interest between Bangladesh and the European Union. Special importance was attached to making the democratic process in Bangladesh more meaningful and stronger. Both sides expressed the hope that the continuity of bilateral cooperation, development and progress between the European Union and Bangladesh would be further strengthened in the future.

Also present at the meeting on behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami were Central Executive Council Member Mr. Mubarak Hossain, academician and researcher Professor Mokarram Hossain, Zubair Ahmed and Amir’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan.
