International Folk Music Festival “Dobrovidenye” Exhibition Held at Russian House in Dhaka

A special exhibition of the 10th International Folk Music Festival “Dobrovidenye” was held at the Russian House in Dhaka last Thursday (August 7, 2025). This year, the festival was organized to mark the ‘Year of the Defender of the Fatherland’ and the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The event introduced the young generation of Bangladesh to the rich tradition, cultural values, and spiritual legacy of Russian folk music. The exhibition showcased the best performances of the festival, which highlighted the multidimensional nature of folk art and musical traditions from different regions of Russia.

University, college, and school students participated in this special exhibition and expressed deep interest in Russian folk culture. The event played a helpful role in further strengthening cultural ties between Bangladesh and Russia.
