He also said, “Many people have lost their lives in this movement, many students, common people have been killed. Now Bangladesh has an opportunity to manage the country in a fair manner. In that case, if you take responsibility, then it is possible. It’s not good for any of us if you don’t agree to take responsibility. That is why we request you to take responsibility.
When the students said this, I thought to myself, these students have done so much agitation, they have to pay so much for it. If the students can sacrifice so much, if the people of the country can sacrifice so much, then I also have some responsibility. Then I informed the students that I am willing to take charge of the interim government.
