The advisor said that expatriates are the driving force of Bangladesh’s economy. Basically, they are the ones who have sustained the economic foundation of the country by sending remittances. And a significant number of these expatriates are from the working class. Therefore, in providing passport and other services, the officers of the Passport and Visa Wing should work with them in a good manner and maintain good relations. At the same time, good relations should be maintained with other officers of the embassy or mission so that a good working environment or atmosphere prevails.
Calling on the officers to work with professionalism, dedication and sincerity, Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) said that the standards of civil service should be maintained. The advisor said that officers should not be involved in any kind of corruption. Moreover, they should not be involved in tailgating of any political party. He called on the officers of the Passport and Visa Wing to refrain from doing any work that harms the country’s standard and honor.
