Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) said that Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force have been making well-planned and coordinated preparations since August last year (2025) to hold the national elections in a free, fair, peaceful and festive atmosphere. The advisor said that the activities of the ‘Sanjeeban’ project, which is promising for the socio-economic development of Ansar-VDP grassroots members, have been started. He said that Ansar-VDP Welfare Trust, Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank and Ansar-VDP Cooperative – these institutions are playing an important role in improving the quality of life of the Ansar members as well as the general public of the country.
