A seminar and certificate awarding ceremony titled ‘Today’s Training, Tomorrow’s Journey to Japan’ was held at the Bangladesh Coast Guard Technical Training Institute (BCGTTI) on skill development, Japanese language education, professional preparation and international employment opportunities.
Certificates were awarded to 3 batches of trainees at the event organized on Tuesday (11 August 2026).

Bangladesh Coast Guard Director (Logistics) Captain Mohammad Hafizul Billah, (S), PSC, PCGMS, BN was present as the chief guest at the event.
Mr. Jun Fukuzawa, Chairman of Fukuzawa Group of Industries, Japan, and his staff were present as special guests.
The event was chaired by Mr. Yoshida Tomohiro, CEO of Hi Tech Corporation, and was attended by four special guests from Japan and a five-member delegation of Japanese expert trainers.
The potential importance of effective collaboration between government institutions, training centers and the private sector in enhancing the skills of Bangladesh’s young workforce and creating new international employment opportunities was also highlighted.
According to Heartful Limited, the institutional discipline and professionalism of the Bangladesh Coast Guard and the training-oriented infrastructure and joint ventures of BCGTTI can contribute to building a skilled, responsible and employment-oriented young workforce.
The speakers said that technical training alone is not enough for success in the international labor market; language skills, professionalism, punctuality, sense of responsibility and familiarity with Japanese work culture are also very important.
Murad Hasan Zenith, Managing Director of Heartful Limited, presented a keynote speech on skilled and trained manpower migration from Bangladesh.
He expressed hope that today’s trained youth will play a role in further strengthening the bridge between Bangladesh and Japan in terms of skilled manpower and employment cooperation in the future.
Representatives of Bangladesh Coast Guard, BCGTTI, senior officials of Heartful Limited, trainees and their guardians were present at the event.
