The government is making maximum efforts for the safe return of the Bangladesh national football team currently in Nepal.
The return of the Bangladesh national football team to the country has been temporarily delayed due to the ongoing protest situation in Nepal. The team was supposed to return to the country from Tribhuvan International Airport at 3 pm local time today, but the airport authorities canceled all flights due to the deteriorating situation. As a result, the team’s players and officials are currently staying at the team hotel.
The Chief Advisor’s Press Wing said in a message that Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan is monitoring the situation around the clock to ensure the team’s safety and smooth return.
Currently, the Chief Advisor’s office and senior officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports are actively working to take necessary steps for the team’s quick and safe return. Regular contact is being maintained with the Bangladesh Embassy in Nepal in this regard.
It is worth noting that in the context of recent political changes in Nepal, especially the resignation of the Prime Minister, the Bangladesh government is maintaining close contact with the Nepalese army to ensure the smooth return of the party.
