Government wants to use Turkey’s experience in modernizing the tourism sector

Diplomatic Desk:

H.E. Ramis Sen, Ambassador of Turkey to Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on the Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Afroza Khanam, MP.

The meeting, held at the Minister’s Office at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Sunday (3 May 2026) at 3 pm, was attended by State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, M Rashiduzzaman Millat, MP.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on further strengthening the existing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Turkey. In particular, detailed discussions were held on accepting Turkey’s cooperation in the development and expansion of the country’s tourism sector.

At this time, the Ambassador expressed interest in the ground handling activities of the renowned Turkish company ‘Celebi Aviation Holding’ at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Minister Afroza Khanam and State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat expressed their determination to work closely with Turkey in the civil aviation and tourism sectors.
