A fire broke out in a multi-storey building in Armanitola area of the capital’s Old Dhaka. The fire broke out on the sixth floor of the 14-storey building called Haji Tower adjacent to Babubazar early on Tuesday (December 23, 2025).
The Fire Service said that the first unit of the fire brigade reached the spot within five minutes after receiving the report of the fire at 6:40 am. A total of 9 units worked simultaneously to put out the fire.
