Erfan Group distributes winter clothes in Chapainawabganj

On Wednesday (January 15, 2025), winter clothes were distributed among the cold-stricken people on the third floor of the city’s Satuhal Market under the management of the Prabin Hitaishi Sangha and the Geriatric Science Center, under the joint initiative of the Chapainawabganj District Administration, Erfan Group and Prabin Hitaishi Sangha.

Deputy Commissioner Abdus Samad was present as the chief guest and handed over blankets to the cold-stricken people. The program was presided over by Prabin Hitaishi Sangha President Nazrul Islam.

Among the special guests present were Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mosah Tashmina Khatun and Erfan Group Managing Director Mahbub Alam CIP. The general secretary of the association, Afsar Ali, delivered the welcome speech at the program.

In his speech as the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner Abdus Samad said, “It is our social and moral responsibility to stand by the cold-stricken people. If we all come forward with human values, then it is possible to alleviate the suffering of the poor and helpless people to some extent.”

Mahbub Alam CIP, Managing Director of Erfan Group, said, “Erfan Group always tries to stand by the people in disaster or critical situations. Helping the cold-stricken people is also part of our continuous efforts. We will help as much as possible to reduce the suffering of the cold-stricken people.”

After the discussion, the distribution of winter clothes officially started. The chief guest and other guests handed over blankets to the cold-stricken people.

In the last part of the program, special prayers and prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the soul of the late chairman of Erfan Group, Erfan Ali.

This initiative has been widely appreciated locally and such humanitarian assistance by Erfan Group to the cold-stricken people is being seen as an example of inspiration.
