The inaugural ceremony of Durga Puja Shasthami was held in a festive atmosphere organized by the Baridhara DOHS Puja Committee in the capital. Honorable Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury was present as the chief guest at the invitation of Puja Committee President Major General (Retd) Jiban Kanai Das and Secretary Prabir Kumar Saha Bidyut.
DBC News Director and Industrialist Salauddin Chowdhury and Maksuda Chowdhury along with numerous dignitaries and devotees were also present at the event. Puja Celebration Committee Member Sanjay Kumar Naha welcomed the guests.
A festive atmosphere has been created in the Baridhara DOHS area due to the celebration. Visitors arriving at the Puja Mandap are immersed in religious devotion and joy.
