After the inspection, the Divisional Commissioner decorated the chair of the coordination meeting of Gazipur City Corporation. The Honorable Secretary of the Local Government Department Mr. Md. Along with the coordination meeting, the Divisional Commissioner exchanged greetings with Christians on the occasion of Christmas and handed over financial donation checks to them.
In the last part of the day’s program, the Divisional Commissioner enjoyed the final game of the Administrator Gold Cup Football Tournament-2025 organized by the Gazipur City Corporation at the Tongi Meghna Ground. After the game, he handed over the champion trophy to the winning team.
It is worth noting that the Tongi Meghna ground was once a garbage dump. With the dedicated efforts and concerted efforts of the Honorable Administrator, Gazipur City Corporation and Divisional Commissioner Mr. Sharaf Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury, it has been possible to make the ground suitable for sports, which has breathed new life into the local sports field.
