To ensure that the Sharadiya Durga Puja 2026 is celebrated in a peaceful, orderly, and festive atmosphere, Md. Mostafizur Rahman, DIG of the Dhaka Range, and Md. Moniruzzaman Miah, Divisional Commissioner of the Dhaka Division, inspected various Puja Mandaps (worship venues) in the Kaliakair area of Gazipur.
During the visit, they assessed the security arrangements and the overall law and order situation at the various Puja Mandaps. They instructed the police personnel on duty at these venues to carry out their responsibilities with the utmost vigilance, professionalism, and sense of duty.
Emphasis was placed on maintaining an orderly environment at the Puja Mandaps and ensuring the safety of the devotees. Instructions were given to the relevant police personnel to maintain necessary preparations and high levels of alertness to ensure that the law and order situation remains stable and the festival proceeds without any disruptions.
Gazipur District Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Jasim Uddin, PPM (Bar), was present during the visit. Also in attendance were senior district police officials, other police personnel, leaders of the Puja Mandap organizing committees, journalists from print and electronic media, and local dignitaries.
