Commerce Minister expresses condolences over the death of Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed’s wife Dilara Hafiz

Minister for Commerce, Industries, Textiles and Jute Khandaker Abdul Muktadir has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the death of Dilara Hafiz, wife of Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed.

In a condolence message on Saturday (March 28, 2026), the minister said that the nation has lost a noble woman with the death of Dilara Hafiz. She was a loving, pious and humane person. Her life has left a positive impact on the family and society.

The minister prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family and relatives. He prayed to Allah Almighty to grant the deceased Jannatul Firdous and give her family the strength to bear this grief.

It is noteworthy that Dilara Hafiz breathed her last at Singapore General Hospital at 1:29 pm Singapore time today. She was 78 years old at the time of her death.
