Li Jiangzhao, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC), has expressed interest in signing a political memorandum with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). He also commented that such a step is timely to strengthen bilateral relations.
At the meeting, the CPC praised BNP’s clear stance on the ‘One China Policy’.
BNP described Chinese President Xi Jinping’s ‘Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)’ program as a groundbreaking and extraordinary initiative for global development and public welfare. BNP leaders also congratulated President Xi Jinping.
At the meeting, BNP expressed its expectation for China’s greater participation in infrastructure development and employment-related projects in Bangladesh.
