On Monday (11 November, 2024) Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen Calls on Youth and Sports Adviser Yao Wen met with Mr. Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, Adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, of Interim Government of Bangladesh. The two engaged in in-depth discussions on promoting exchanges between youth of China and Bangladesh, and enhancing cooperation in the field of sports.
Ambassador Yao congratulated Mr Asif for his new appointment. He emphasized China’s long-standing commitment to fostering friendly and cooperative relations with the people of Bangladesh. He reaffirmed that despite internal changes in Bangladesh, China remains steadfast in its determination to strengthen bilateral ties. Youth are the hope of the development. Next year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Bangladesh, China is looking forward to working closely with Bangladesh to cement our traditional friendship, deepen friendly exchanges of youth, strengthen cooperation in sports, and create a new era for people-to-people exchanges between China and Bangladesh.
Mr Asif expressed his deep appreciation for China’s long-term strong support and assistance to the development of Bangladeshi sports. He affirmed that, China is a good partner and friend to Bangladesh. He expressed his willingness to cooperate closely with China in youth development, sports competition, and facility construction, to make youth and sports becoming the highlights of China-Bangladesh cultural exchanges.
